Presidential Grants Foundation
The international work of the Presidential Grants Foundation supports the exchange of experience, knowledge and skills between committed people from all over the world.
The international competition follows the same principles as the competitions in Russia: openly published terms for applicants, independent expert review, transparent criteria and project support from application to final report. The one difference is that partners are based in different countries, and the results benefit both societies.
Five steps to results

Rules that never change from competition to competition
The same principles the Presidential Grants Foundation has followed since 2017 — now for applicants from other countries
- 01The terms are the same for everyoneA single review procedure for all applicants, regardless of nationality, legal form or any other characteristic. No preferences at the submission or assessment stage — that is what keeps the selection objective.
- 02The rules do not changeThe competition documents are published openly before applications open and are not amended, so every applicant knows all the terms of selection from the start.
- 03Assessment is professional and independentApplications are reviewed by subject-matter experts against a single approved set of criteria. A panel makes the final funding decision, ruling out conflicts of interest and subjective judgment.
- 04Life matters more than paperworkSupport for grantees focuses on tracking meaningful changes in the lives of the people the projects serve. Effectiveness is judged by verifying the social impact actually achieved.
